New Light Dwelling consists of five Norwegian players and one English vocalist. All having spent time studying at The Grieg Academy, the band leader and vocalist Rowan created an EP ‘New Light Dwelling’ in 5 months, carefully crafting her lyrics.

The music on the EP is their interpretation of Jan Garbarek and Keith Jarrett's songs from the albums ‘Belonging’, ‘My Song’ and ‘Folk Songs’. They play this blend of ECM-inspired jazz and folk with inspiration from artists such as Carla Bley, Kenny Wheeler and Gretchen Parlato.
